Registration fees increases for 2009
After arriving home from Regionals, I received notice
from the USSF that there will be an immediate price increase on
registration fees. The USSF is not phasing them in
over a period of time, the increases are immediate. The SRC reviewed the
increases and, while they are justified, didn’t feel the timing gave us a
chance to notify our members and expect them to react in a positive manner.
So, the SRC has voted to phase the increases in over a two year period to
soften the blow on each member in our organization. What we are willing to
do is take a hit the first year on the increase and subsidize part of the
increase. I have compiled a list showing the fees from 2008, the new fees
from the USSF and what Arkansas
will charge for 2009. I hope you see that the committee is working to
lessen the impact on each family as much as we possibly can.

Note**:2009 Registration Fees (will go up in 2010; half split now for
2009, and half split next year)
This increase is completely the work of the USSF and
not the Arkansas State Referee Committee. As I stated, this notice came to
us on June 26 and was effective immediately. There has been a ton of
backlash directed toward the USSF, but not enough to rescind the increase.
We will continue to monitor this situation, but for now, the increases are
shown above.
